I think, that in this disscution one very important thing, question have been omitted and not presented?

How it is posible, that private resarcher and editor can supplay very detail (tocznyje) data for about 10 years in Frontova Ilustratzya's titles (mostly land forces). Which means - he and some of his authors can supplay data, which are correct to almost one single tank in the RKKA, look and check for example figures in "Preludia k Barbarossie" - Kolomyetz.

Second these very official, tolstyje palkoniki, gienineraly, marszalki ect, who are geting quite good state's regular salry, pensions are writing, producing very proud and top official state's reports, where they could not count exactly own archives figures and data taken exactly from the same state's archives and supplay to the readers in "officials and states" books information, which are more or less 10-30% not detali, precise.
Rather you have to estimate and count for these "authors" and to add about 10-30% more, becasue these state's offical - proud "top brass" - can not do and properly own reports, for whom, they are taking very good money from the state?

MirekW

PS
This is not only "Russian" specific situation, I can also say about "similar" situation in Poland, where state's official "soldier's" historians - mayors, kapitans, pulkowniks - not all but almost 80-90 procents of whole such populationauthors are producing, mostly informational and historical trashes. Privates authors or civil historians can not let themselfs, for such paper's "bull shits".
